NQ2 Installer

This ZIP contains the installer, not an operating system image and not just the application. Download it, extract the complete nq2-installation folder, and choose the guide matching your setup.

It includes config.yaml, shared core, windows, ubuntu and raspbian launchers, and PL/EN instructions in docs. Configuration comments are in English. Development folders tests, tools and dist are unnecessary and are not included.

Choose a guide

• Fresh Raspberry Pi card: Imager and 16 screenshots: on Windows run windows/raspianimager.cmd after writing the OS and before the Pi’s first boot.
• Existing Ubuntu, Raspberry Pi OS or Windows: run ubuntu/install.sh, raspbian/install.sh or windows/install.cmd on the target system.
• Manual Linux installation: individual commands if you prefer to perform the steps yourself.

The installer downloads NQ2 from download.zip and runs npm install on the target device. Nginx, Mosquitto and Zigbee2MQTT are optional. MQTT accepts local connections only by default (mqtt_allow_remote: false). Setting it to true allows other devices to connect, still using authentication.

This installer bundle includes the config.yaml filename, English configuration comments, the MQTT access question and the current NQ2 download URL. It does not automatically upgrade an existing application. The NQ2 1.0.0 application ZIP is a separate download.

The bundle normalizes Linux runtime files to LF line endings, including cards prepared from Windows project checkouts. This fixes the first-boot pipefail error.

Wi-Fi stability

The current bundle disables Wi-Fi power saving on target Linux systems using NetworkManager to address disconnections after idle periods. For older or manual installations, see the Wi-Fi setup guide. This concerns Wi-Fi, not Ethernet or whole-system suspend.
